Elkhound

| This is a robust and atheletic breed. It barks loudly when it
sees its prey. Stoneage fossils confirm its antiquity while hunting as a gun dog, it does
not chase but follows its prey like a hound. It has been used as a retriever and guard
dog. The Norweigian Elkhound is the national dog of Norway. It weighs 20-23 kgs and is
about 50 cms tall. |
