Skye Terrier

This was once a popular breed in the Royal coats of Scotland and England. It is named after its Scottish Island of Origin. Once used for otter and badger hunting, it is now a popular companion . There is a famous story that a Skye Terrier, Bobby,belonging to Grey Friar, used to escape from wherever he was for 14 years after his master's death and used to visit his master's favourite Cafe everyday until its own death. A statue in its memory stands at Grey Friar's Church in Edinburgh. It is 8.5-10 kgs in weight and 23-25 cms in height.
